When I first visited Owen House Barn to shoot James and Clare's wedding, I can honestly say that I was speechless. I've worked in a lot of venues of different shapes and sizes but this is definitely one of my favourites. The venue is a family run business and the owner has created a stylish, quirky, beautiful place. Its romantic, unusual and unique. There are great spaces for getting ready with your bridal party and also accommodation for an over night stay. The ceremony room is understated but has beautiful lighting that makes it feel intimate. The main reception room is big, bright and can accommodate a large wedding party and lots of dancing.
Owen House Barn is a wedding barn but with lots of quirky twists. Many barn venues are quite minimalist in terms of interiors and whilst Owen House Barn isn't over the top with its decor, the attention to detail with the features and bits and pieces that are littered around make it really special. There are really lovely and quirky spaces both inside and outside of the venue. Inside, there are piles of hay bales and a beautiful corridor made from old doors. It's quite something! Outside there is lovely farm land which is ideal for photos and there are additional photo spots on the farm, accessed by the owner and his jeep.
Owen House Barn is for couples who are planning a cool, relaxed, creative wedding day. This venue is incredible and if you are looking for a venue in the Mobberley, Cheshire area then definitely check it out.
It's really important to me that my couples do not feel that the photography part of their day is a chore. I often hear couples talking about attending friends weddings where the photography for the day ruled the roost a little bit. This is not the way that I work.
I want you to enjoy every single second of your wedding day and there are a few things that I will do to make sure that this
happens. Firstly, most of the day will be documentary. This means that I won't intervene in the proceedings, but will photograph
natural moments. Bilston Brook Wedding Barn has such a lovely feel to it and I want you to be able to drink all of that in
without being dragged over every five minutes for more photos.
During the family portraits part of the day, which does require a little more direction, I am highly organised and will get this
done as quickly as possible, so that you can go back to mingling with your guests.
Lots of my couples are quite nervous about being photographed and this is totally normal. Attending your own wedding
is quite a surreal experience. You've spent a lot of time thinking and planning and now its finally here. If you're not a fan of posing, then don't worry - neither am I! I have a ton of tricks up my sleeve that will take your focus off my camera and onto
I am always on hand to help out/give advice before and on the day. Having photographed over 250 weddings, I am here to help
you in any way that I can.
If you are looking for a wedding photographer who loves shooting for relaxed couples and who might make you laugh so hard that you snort, then I would love to hear from you.
