Dan and Kayleigh’s seaside wedding in Brighton was so much fun. We met for the first time the day before their wedding day and from the moment I walked into the Brighton pub to meet them, I was made to feel like an old friend. I LOVE shooting weddings in Brighton. The town as such a great vibe and I always have lots of fun while i’m there. The wedding followed a 50’s nautical theme, with the bridesmaids in blue or red polka dot dresses and Kayleigh in a BEAUTIFUL 50’s style lace number. Kayleigh also wore a pair of the most amazing Vivienne Westwood shoes. I totally fell in love with them, so much so that they sent a pair to me after the wedding! (thanks guys!!)
Dan and Kayleigh got married at Brighton Registry Office, followed by a walk through Brighton for photographs. Despite it being in November, we were very lucky to have dry weather. We walked along the sea front, spotting different places to take some snaps. The reception was held in a giant tipi, provided by Tremendous Tipi outside of Brighton Music Hall. They had kitted the tipi out with lots of twinkly lights and nautical bits of bobs. The wedding cake was a 3 tier, rainbow sponge masterpiece. After dark, we ventured out onto Brighton beach for some fun flash photographs and some sparkler shots. I love being able to experience with adding light to images after dark.
This seaside wedding was an incredible experience for me as a photographer. I’m so glad that I’m still in touch with Dan and Kayleigh and so pleased that I got to be their photographer.
