In November of this year, I ventured up north to The Morritt Hotel for Ste and Lizzie’s wedding. I was lucky enough to meet Ste and Lizzie the year before, when I shot their friends wedding and was so chuffed to be able to spend more time with that group of friends.
Ste and Lizzie planned a fun and relaxed wedding, surrounded by people that they love. Lizzie’s dress was princess like with lace detailing on the off the shoulder sleeves and a beautiful full skirt. The maids wore dusky pink, knee length dresses from Monsoon. The flowers were the most beautiful collection of wild pinks, purples and blues. The boys were in checked suits and ties with matching wild flower button holes. After spending the morning at lizzie’s parents house, getting ready, the girls boarded a couple of vintage VW camper vans to take them to the venue. Ste and Lizzie both love music and because of this, planned a brilliant sing song during their ceremony, led by a live band. Singing is something that I always miss about civil ceremonies so it was just wonderful. The whole day had a wonderfully relaxed feeling about it and lovely warmth that I always find when I shoot weddings in the north of the country. After the I do’s had been exchanged, the guests enjoyed a drinks reception, before sitting down to eat and listen to some pretty hilarious speeches. Hats off to the best men for their video creation! After dinner was done, we ventured outside for some fun sparkler shots with the bridal party. The evening concluded with a pretty epic bouquet toss, confetti cannons and twirling around the dance floor.
I thoroughly enjoyed the whole day and would like to thank Ste and Lizzie for inviting me!
Lots of love to you both
