The Brabham Family | Staffordshire Family Photographer

Good morning! Hope you are having a happy Monday. I’m really excited to share this gorgeous family session with you! Experience has taught me that connection with clients is key to getting the great results and the wonderful experience that both I as a photographer and them as the client want. Connection allows for space to relax and be creative. It allows me to feel the love that the family unit feels for each other and tap into what makes them them. I’m so fortunate to be able to say that often connection comes really easily with clients because often we are quite similar people and this is definitely so with todays family.

I was lucky enough to shoot Glenn and Becca’s wedding a couple of years ago. We had a ball together and so I jumped at the chance to photograph their growing family. I love natural family photography. It’s an opportunity to record your family doing the things that you love to do. Reading books together, having lunch, playing with favourite toys, having a cuddle.

Glenn and Becca have a lovely, warm and welcoming home. There was a lot of bouncing on the bed, super hero capes, bubble bath and lots of sweets shared. On the morning of their wedding, there were piles of sausage sandwiches to share and so they decided to continue the tradition and plied me with food and lots of tea in a Beauty and the Beast mug (thank you!).

Story telling is a wonderful privilege of this job and being able to go back to a family that i’ve had such lovely experiences with is a true pleasure. It is wonderful to be in a position to build meaningful relationships with my couples and their little ones.

Here are some of my favourite shots from the few hours that we spent together.

This is what Glenn and Becca has to say about the session…

‘Having Laura come to our home and photograph our family was a decision that we made easily as she had already done afantastic job at our wedding. Her presence in our home was natural, positive and engaging with the kids (aged 7 months and 3 years). Laura is a wonderful person to have capture family time and somebody we will always look to use for any special occasion. There will always be a sausage sandwich for you here Laura!’
