Hello! I am currently shooting a destination wedding in Italy, woohoo! But please feel free to email me if you want to discuss your wedding photography and I will get back to you as soon as I’m back.
When I was a kid, I always loved playing with cheap film cameras. Most of what I took was complete rubbish but that didnt matter to me. Receiving my photos back from the printers was such an exciting moment because I was never sure of exactly what I had taken or whether it was any good. There was the usual finger in front of the lens ones or the ones you accidentally took whilst holding the camera, but every now and then, id get one that I really quite liked. Since digital photography became so easily accessible, the printing of photos has somehow become forgotten. You can take a photo on so many devices these days but as soon as they’ve been uploaded to social media, what happens to them then? What happens if you lost your phone, or your camera. Would the memories be gone?
One of the reasons why I love my grandparents house is because their walls are covered with memories. Photos that they have taken the time to print and hang proudly. You can see photos of them on their wedding day, photos of their children and grand children at different points in their life.
There is something so special about being able to see an image in print.
