In November last year, I ventured down to Bristol to photograph Ben and Hannah’s wedding at Orchardleigh House. The venue is a gem of a stately home, set back in the countryside. Couples who choose to get married there, have full access of its beautiful grounds and gorgeous views and as a photographer, I loved working there. Ben and Hannah wanted a really relaxed and fun wedding day. The ceremony room was really elegant, with a big open fire, huge paintings and beautiful chandeliers. Ben and Hannah exchanged vows and a few giggles before processing out as man and wife. They were keen to avoid any sort of formality and loved creative, natural shots so I took along a couple of smoke grenades and we had some fun in the grounds. Hannah’s wedding dress was understated, gorgeous and showed off her beautiful tattoos. The dress, 60’s style makeup and incredible red hair were a breath taking combination. The maids wore lace, black, knee length dresses and carried bouquets of gypsophila. The boys wore kilts (loved them!) in greens and blues, with a Scottish thistle button hole. The guests enjoyed a yummy 3 course meal before listening to some hilarious speeches. When the wedding breakfast was over, the alcohol was flowing and it was time for shots. The party started up and Ben, Hannah and guests packed the dance floor.
Thank you to Ben and Hannah for inviting me to be a part of their day and for being so much fun!
Much love,
Laura
