Nettlestead Place Wedding – Blush Pink and Taxidermy Theme

When Lauren first emailed me to see if I could shoot her wedding, she used the words feathers, tweed and taxidermy…from that point on, I was hooked! I knew this tattooed bride to be and her lovely lad Sam would plan a great party and they did not disappoint. The couple planned their day at Nettlestead Place, Kent. It was my first time shooting there and I loved it! The whole day was super chilled and just loads and loads of fun. The couple didn’t take tradition, or themselves too seriously and as you’ll see from the images, they just laughed all day long. As a photographer, it is such a pleasure to work with a couple who firstly prioritise their photography – my second shooter and I were spoilt and really felt like we were part of the wedding party. You know that you are valued when you receive your own wedding invitation through the post. And secondly, I love working with couples who have a tangible connection with each other. It makes my job so easy and so much fun.

The wedding was very much homemade and put together entirely by the couple. They used their personal collection of taxidermy for centrepieces, with added flowers and fruit. Laurens dress was by Maggie Sottero and the colour matched perfectly with the decor she had put together for the reception. It was a great mixture of girly and cool.

This is what Sam and Lauren thought about their images: ‘Ahhhh Laura we are in LOVE!!!! Thank you so so much! We have laughed and smiled the whole way through, everybody looks so happy. You’re an absolute super star xxx’

Love you guys <3
