Since photographing Kieran and Mel’s wedding in 2012, we’ve kept in touch and i’ve photographed their two beautiful kids a couple of times but this session was the first time that I have photographed them as a full family. Autumn is always a great season for family sessions because it’s not too warm for kids and being able to wrap up and cuddle up is great for photographs. It felt quite blissful in the woods in the morning sunshine. There was the only the odd dog walker around and so the girls could run around and shout ‘PETER RAAAAABBIT’ at the top of their lungs to their hearts content. They were on form and we giggled the whole way through. We played chase, found pinecones and did some spinning. I love creating an adventure for children during my sessions because at this age, they have the most amazing imagination and its such an enjoyable experience for them.
