Highbury Hall weddings are for couples who have a sense of style and a love of lovely light. The venue is beautiful listed manor house in Birmingham. It is the perfect setting for a quirky, relaxed wedding because it has lots of beautiful design both inside and outside of the venue. If you are getting married during the warmer months, the venue has beautiful gardens for wandering, sunbathing and drinking. If the weather is wet, then the venue is very spacious inside. The large hall in the centre of the venue has smaller rooms around its edges and a huge, grand stair case. Upstairs, there are beautiful hanging lights, cool tiles and beautiful architecture. Its definitely a venue for a cool couple, who are looking to plan a creative wedding. The light in the main hall comes in from the ceiling and its beautiful against the dark wood panelling and high ceiling.
One of my favourite things about Highbury Hall weddings is that the venue has a lot of quirky spots, beautiful architecture and lovely interiors that are perfect for couple shots. Its got some really beautiful gardens outside but if the weather is bad, then inside is just as lovely and very striking. It also has a really great atmosphere. The venue is very homely and because of the layout of the ground floor, it feels like a very large, very beautiful house. The venue is owned by Birmingham council and so because of this, you may find that its a little more budget friendly than a like for like venue that is privately owned.

It's really important to me that my couples do not feel that the photography part of their day is a chore. I often hear couples talking about attending friends weddings where the photography for the day ruled the roost a little bit. This is not the way that I work.
I want you to enjoy every single second of your wedding day and there are a few things that I will do to make sure that this happens. Firstly, most of the day will be documentary. This means that I won't intervene in the proceedings, but will photograph natural moments. Highbury Hall has such a lovely feel to it and I want you to be able to drink all of that in without being dragged over every five minutes for more photos.
During the family portraits part of the day, which does require a little more direction, I am highly organised and will get this done as quickly as possible, so that you can go back to mingling with your guest.
Lots of my couples are quite nervous about being photographed and this is totally normal. Attending your own wedding is quite a surreal experience. You've spent a lot of time thinking and planning and now its finally here. If you're not a fan of posing, then don't worry - neither am I! I have a ton of tricks up my sleeve that will take your focus off my camera and onto each other.
I am always on hand to help out/give advice before and on the day. Having photographed over 250 weddings, I am here to help you in any way that I can.
If you are looking for a wedding photographer who loves shooting for relaxed couples and who might make you laugh so hard that you snort, then I would love to hear from you.
