Are you getting married at Bilston Brook Wedding Barn? If so then I would LOVE to shoot your wedding. This venue is one of my absolute favourites. It oozes style and isn't short of great spots for wedding photos. I first shot at Bilston Brook Wedding Barn in the summer of last year and immediately felt at home there. The staff were fabulous and the day ran like a dream. As a wedding photographer who loves the edgier style photo, the venue is full of really inspiring locations. The venue itself has a mixture of great wooden and metal backdrops, but if you venture a little further, there is a great wooded area on the grounds with a little river running through it. one of the things that I love most about photographing barn weddings is that they are often really neutral and so tend to suit any type of wedding decor.
It's really important to me that my couples do not feel that the photography part of their day is a chore. I often hear couples talking about attending friends weddings where the photography for the day ruled the roost a little bit. This is not the way that I work.
I want you to enjoy every single second of your wedding day and there are a few things that I will do to make sure that this happens. Firstly, most of the day will be documentary. This means that I won't intervene in the proceedings, but will photograph natural moments. Bilston Brook Wedding Barn has such a lovely feel to it and I want you to be able to drink all of that in without being dragged over every five minutes for more photos.
During the family portraits part of the day, which does require a little more direction, I am highly organised and will get this done as quickly as possible, so that you can go back to mingling with your guests.
Lots of my couples are quite nervous about being photographed and this is totally normal. Attending your own wedding is quite a surreal experience. You've spent a lot of time thinking and planning and now it's finally here. If you're not a fan of posing, then don't worry - neither am I! I have a ton of tricks up my sleeve that will take your focus off my camera and ontoeach other.
I am always on hand to help out/give advice before and on the day. Having photographed over 250 weddings, I am here to help you in any way that I can.
If you are looking for a wedding photographer who loves shooting for relaxed couples and who might make you laugh so hard that you snort, then I would love to hear from you.

Bilston Brook Wedding Barn is situated just outside of Lichfield. This wedding barn has such a unique style and would suit couples who are planning a more relaxed style wedding. The venue sits on a working farm, right next to Bilston Brook river, which is a lovely spot for your wedding photos. The rustic farm barn is such a beautiful, raw space and a blank canvas, offering the chance to plan a bespoke wedding. The venue is split into two indoor spaces. The Ceremony Barn has beautiful, atmospheric lighting for an intimate ceremony. Next door is the reception room, which is a huge space with quirky features and industrial lighting. Outside the wedding barn there are fields, cool sheds and space for a private seating area. Your guests can sit in the sunshine and enjoy a drink together. There is also lots of room if you wanted to choose a more relaxed catering option such as a catering van to feed your guests. Bilston Brook Wedding Barn is an ideal location if you are planning a free spirited wedding, centered on having fun with all of your favourite people.
