Being a family photographer is such a privilege. Photographing parents as they navigate through all the newness, the nappies and many hilarious expressions from their little one is wonderful. I just LOVE these home sessions. It gives families the opportunity to have the special, intimate parts of their day to day love for each other photographed as a wonderful keep sake for years to come. I immediately felt at home in Anthony and Nicola’s house…partly because it was excellently decorated in a taste very similar to my own but mostly because they are warm and friendly. Nicola is the incredibly talented owner of my favourite local florist, Brown Sugar Blooms. If you are planning a wedding in the Staffordshire/Derbyshire/Cheshire area, then you should definitely check her out!
The shoot was really chilled. We relaxed in the house, had a very bracing walk in the winter sunshine and enjoyed bath time. After having such a snowy weekend, it was nice to get some fresh air but it certainly was very fresh! It was a really lovely couple of hours.
