Stylish Indian Fusion Wedding at Pendrell Hall

indian fusion wedding

Koy and Soraya’s Indian fusion wedding at Pendrell Hall wedding oozed style. They have impeccable taste and it was really reflected in their colourful, multicultural wedding. There was more sass than you could shake a stick at and at times I felt like I was shooting for a magazine! They were some of the loveliest people i’ve ever met and it was such a wonderful day for me. The wedding was featured on the brilliant Rock n Roll Bride blog. You can see it here.

When you were planning, what were the most important things that you wanted for your wedding? We wanted a venue that could have everything in one place and have nice rooms to stay in. We also wanted our wedding to reflect us as a couple and so decided on an indian fusion style. We wanted to be unique and fuse our families cultures together by including Irish dancing and bollywood dancing. We also wanted this to be evident in our clothing which is why we chose a traditional Asian groom outfit and a white dress for the bride. We also wanted our day to reflect the things we love like cats, music, trainers and Moroccan food/decor. As a performer and Drama teacher it was important for me to include entertainment such as our groomsmen and bridesmaids all performing a spoken word speech as well as one of my bridesmaids singing us out of the ceremony room. We also choreographed our first dance which most people said was a highlight of the day!

Is there anything that you wished you had done differently? We don’t wish we did anything differently as we both had such a fantastic day that we felt reflected us. I think I would say I wish I didn’t fret as much over the weather forecast as it didn’t matter on the day.

Can you offer any advice to couples in the planning process? Do whatever you want! Not what family or friends want but truly what you both want. Don’t compare to other people or other weddings. Make sure you think of all the things you both love and try and include them within your day as this will make your day unique and a day that people will remember.
